Are you looking for a job in sales? Then K5's Basic Sales Training programme, which includes hands-on sales experience, is right for you. After a week of learning sales basics in an intensive course, you will complete a four-week internship to gain practical experience. This programme increases your chances of entering or re-entering the sales sector and is offered times a year.

Course: Basic Sales Training
Course length: 5 weeks (a one-week course and a four-week internship, which includes a two-day cashier course)
Course times: Monday to Friday, 9.00–11.30 a.m. and 1.00–4.30 p.m.
Internship times: according to the store's schedule, can include Saturdays
Cashier Course: 2 days, 8.00 a.m.–6.00 p.m.
Childcare: no

Course: CHF 2'000.-

What are the prerequisites for the Basic Sales Training programme?
> You have good German skills (level B1) and are able to understand Swiss German.
> You are available to work during store hours (until 8.00 p.m.) and on Saturdays.
> You have a current version of all the documents needed to apply for a job.

> How to interact with customers
> Fundamental communication skills
> The basics of working as a cashier
> Merchandise presentation
> Product knowledge
> The demands of and opportunities in sales work
> Your rights and duties at the workplace
> How to handle stress and physical strain
> How to write a letter of application for a job in sales

Tests and certificates
> Course certificate for an 80% rate of attendance
> Written tests at the end of the first week to assess your knowledge of sales theory
> Final internship evaluation report, written by the store Manager

A written confirmation of participation will be issued at the end of the programme if a participant has finished the programme. This confirmation includes the programme’s content, dates and number of lessons.

Installment payments are possible. The first installment is due at the start of the course. The entire course fee must be paid by the end of the course.

One Deregistration up to one week before the start of the course is free of charge. After that, the full price will be charged.
