The colors of the K5 - diversity that connects
German courses, certificates, work integration, further education, childcare, meetings: all of these fields of activity together make up the K5 Basler Kurszentrum. Every day, people come to us with very different experiences. Some bring curiosity and new beginnings, others have stories of loss and pain. What can we offer them? Where do we start when so many biographies and expectations come together? We try to perceive the new arrivals in their diversity and allow a new whole to emerge from this.
In order to sharpen the perception of K5's numerous fields of activity, we redesigned our image last year and assigned a color to each area of activity. Together, they stand for diversity and openness and ideally reflect our vision: a world in which diversity is used as an opportunity and lived together.
We would like to thank everyone who supports K5, and therefore the people who attend one of our courses, both financially and in terms of ideas.

How do our trainees experience their time at K5?
This interview shows personal insights from our trainees into their day-to-day work at K5. This film was created as an independent project by all the trainees. From the development of the questions to the realization of the text in the annual report, the pictures and the video recordings, everything was created independently by them.
After many years together, we have bid farewell to a service that was deeply rooted in the heart of K5. The Olla común existed for 40 years - a long time full of encounters, shared meals and many wonderful moments. On December 13, 2025, we bid farewell to the Olla común with numerous guests in a festive setting.
Shared memories and the joy of eating together characterized this last Olla común. This is exactly how this offer should be remembered.
