Childcare with a K5 course

We offer childcare with a special focus on language development in High German for children between 6 months and 5 years of age.

While you learn German at K5, our professionally qualified childcare team takes good care of your child in K5's day care centre. Our top priority is your child’s well-being. We encourage children to interact with each other, and we play, sing, draw and make crafts with them. We are specialised in fostering young children’s language competency and take your child’s needs and developmental stage into consideration, drawing on our many years of experience and the latest educational developments.

Fees are specified on the course descriptions. Possible fee reductions are based on your income and canton of residence.

The childcare is not always in the same building as the course, but only a few minutes' walk away.

  • > Supporting the children in the standard German language with language support specialists.
  • > We organise children into several mixed-age groups.
  • Each group has its own reference person.
  • > A group leader works alone with a maximum of five children, from six children upwards two or three caregivers and an assistant/intern work together, and three caregivers are always responsible for a group of ten children or more.
  • > We encourage children to interact with each other.
  • > We encourage free play and we sing, paint and make crafts with the children.
  • > We introduce specific themes to the children using rhythmic activities that involve singing, speaking and movement.

Installment payments are possible. The full amount must be paid by the end of the course.

One Deregistration of the child up to one week before the start of the course is free of charge, up to one week after the start of the course CHF 75.- to pay. From the second week onwards, the full costs will be charged.
