In the fide module Migration and Interculturality, you will learn how to support adult migrants in learning in an appreciative way, taking into account their background and socio-cultural identity.

Course: fide module MI
Course length: 18 hours, approx. 40 hours self-study time, 2 ECTS
Course times: Saturday, 9:00 - 17:00 (16.8. and 23.8. as well as 6.9.2025)
Registration deadline: 2 weeks before the course starts. If places are available, registrations are also possible after the registration deadline.

Course: CHF 750.-

Admission requirements:
> Professional competence in the German language, non-native German speakers: at least CEFR level C1
> Willingness to actively participate and additional self-study
> If the module is booked independently of IDIconTOTO, you must already have an adult education qualification, at least SVEB course instructor certificate.

Proof of competence:
In order to receive the module test, you must actively participate in the courses (min. 80 %) and your proof of competence must be assessed as "fulfilled".

Target price

They can prepare, conduct and evaluate learning events in the subject of GFL with adults.

Competencies
> Orientate themselves in the context of migration and integration, know their own role and act accordingly
> Reflect on migrants' understanding of teaching and learning as well as their learning behavior and use the findings for learning support
> Meet migrants with an appreciative attitude and be open to surprising learning paths, learning strategies or results
> Recognize possible cultural and identity conflicts of migrant learners and intervene appropriately and in accordance with the objectives of the course
> Reflect on own values and attitudes in relation to the intercultural context and implement them in learning support

> Migration, culture, biography, integration, legal, political, institutional, racism, discrimination, diversity, intercultural skills

> Alternating face-to-face and online events (blended learning)

Deregistration
Cancellation up to three weeks before the start of the course is free of charge, after that the full course price must be paid.

 

Course implementation
If there are too few registrations, the K5 Basler Kurszentrum may cancel the course up to one week before the start of the course. Course fees already paid will be refunded.

 

Modulate test
Participants must fulfill the following requirements to obtain the modulat test:
> Active participation in the courses according to the course program (classroom teaching) (at least 80% per module)
> Proof of competence assessed as "passed" by the module lecturer

 

Appeals and repetition
A written objection (to the attention of the manager) may be lodged within 30 days, stating the reasons, against the "fail" assessment of a certificate of competence. The module provider decides on this:
a) the approval of the objection (proof of competence "passed" after all),
b) the repetition (CHF 150.-) and
c) the rejection of the objection.
